B2C Email Campaigns – Building Engagement from Scratch
Context:
When I started working with this startup, they had no email marketing in place. I had the opportunity to build the email campaign from scratch, which was a challenge that took me out of my comfort zone but ultimately led to fantastic results.
Approach:
For both campaigns, I crafted targeted email copy that was clear, engaging, and action-driven. I focused on creating a strong value proposition in each email, whether it was announcing an exciting new partnership or driving excitement around the chance to win a holiday. Beyond writing the copy, I also developed the overall email strategy, including segmentation and timing.
Results:
- 8.5% increase in open rates, bringing the rate up to 11%.
- 234% increase in clickthrough rates, showing increased engagement.
These results were a direct outcome of careful copywriting, strategic segmentation, and consistent email delivery.
Key Highlight:
Starting an email campaign from the ground up was a new experience for me, and the results were incredibly rewarding. The success of these campaigns not only improved the startup’s email marketing metrics but also laid a strong foundation for future communications.
